HED P.E., and Hot Action Cop

Music Is My Weapon: HED P.E., and Hot Action Cop
I've been looking for new music that 1) I like and 2)that I havn't previouslly heard. Now, this may seem like a hard task because there are maybe ten million artists out there with a few albums each, and to decern what you like you need to listen to all of it.

However, Mattin, a contributing author, showed me a website that links songs that you like to other songs you may like, in a radio-station style setting. So, just for expirimenting, I put in Insane Clown Posse, and it started playing ICP songs. It took me through a few of their songs until I chose one that I enjoyed. I asked it to recommend more music based on what I showed. The first choice was Kid Rock. I did not like that, so the system eliminated Kid Rock related music from the entire listing of songs, and what remained were "All songs like Insane Clow Posse that are not Kid Rock related." I will talk about the albums that showed up:

The first choice was the album Only In Amerika by Hed P.E., which I will talk about. Like this article states, if you like Insane Clown Posse, or Kid Rock, then you will like this group. Only In Amerika by Hed P.E. goes under one of the following, but I am not sure which: Rap-rock, rap-metal, rap-core, or shock-core. Currently I am listening to a song called "Cum Bitch, Cum" if that's any indication of the type of music they sing. Er, "sing." This is a teenage angst soul's playground. This album is aparently Hed P.E.'s proposed middle-finger at the music scene and "Corporate America" as they're referred to, is an exercise in everything that was bad about rap-metal. Only get this album if you plan on having the volume in the red, driving down the street with your windows down with the goal of annoying anyone over 30 years old, and impressing anyone under 16 years old.

Okay so maybe that wasn't the most favorable review, but this next group I really like. Hot Action Cop with enchanced explicit lyrics is very promising based on the one song I heard of theirs. It's great. It's dirty, and I absolutely love Fever for the Flava. There are simply too many people out there that take music way to serious and there are those who want to lump everybody into a certain category. I'm a person that likes music that is just pain out FUN! Yea, Hot Action Cop is a little bit Rap Rock...but there are so many other influences that you can hear such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fishbone, Porn music (yea the album is a little dirty), etc. I don't think Limp Bizket or Linkin Park at all when i listen to these guys. They are their own band.
